Level 1 Improv Class - Discover the Joy of Improvisation

Welcome to our Level 1 Improv Class! This course is designed for beginners and is the perfect starting point for anyone looking to explore the world of improvisation. Our experienced and supportive instructors will guide you through the foundations of improv, helping you build your skills in a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment. level 1 is aimed at anyone so there is no performance or class show.

The classes are from 9 - 12 am.

What to expect:

  1. Introduction to Improv Concepts: You will learn the basic principles of improvisation, such as "Yes, And," active listening, agreement, and commitment, which are essential for successful scene work.

  2. Spontaneity and Playfulness: Develop your ability to think on your feet and embrace spontaneity as you engage in playful exercises and games that promote creativity and collaboration.

  3. Confidence Building: Our class will help you gain confidence in your abilities to make strong choices on stage and trust your instincts, enabling you to overcome fears and perform more freely.

  4. Group Dynamics: You'll learn the importance of teamwork and group support as you work closely with your fellow classmates to create improvised scenes and stories.

  5. Scene Work Basics: Develop the foundation for creating engaging and entertaining scenes, including character development

Cost is R3,000. 

Johannesburg venue is in Linden (to be confirmed upon registration)
